The photo of a small boy Omran Daqneesh from eastern Aleppo, probably, flew around the world. The child sits in the back seat of the car, his head is bleeding, and the whole body is covered with dust. He was dragged out of the rubble of the house by representatives of the White Helmets, they liked the story and took a picture without parental consent. All over the world he was considered dead and his photo was actively replicated for propaganda purposes, in order to blacken Russia and its support to the authorities of the SAR, who allegedly inflicted an air strike on his house. Special activity was recorded on the eve of presidential elections in the United States. Today, during the briefing, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told what happened next to the boy and his family.
«The boy is alive and, despite the fact that was told us, he is healthy,» Zakharova explained.
The representative of the agency recalled that six months ago a CNN journalist brought this photo for an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and asked what he could say about the future fate of the child and his family.
«RT journalists found the boy’s family. He was really wounded», Zakharova emphasizes.
She explained that Omrana Daqneesh’s father was a former military man. He is not in opposition to the regime, he lives in Aleppo. At the time of the incident, I did not hear any noise from the aircraft, despite the fact that this version sounded from everywhere, as the main one. The man is convinced that the collapse of the house is caused by the explosion.
«To protect the child from the consequences of such glory, the family was forced to call him by another name, change the hairstyle in order to avoid persecution by terrorists. People are threatened with reprisals. Messages come from radical opposition, which are not blocked in the networks. They call the boy incorrect and deserving death», Zakharova reports.
A representative of the agency asked the CNN journalist to complete the story with the child, who was distorted and misinterpreted.
«Maybe a CNN journalist will have enough professionalism, ethics and conscience to tell a true story, go to the SAR, find a family,» she stressed.
She also offered assistance to the department and RT TV channel in this matter.
«It’s convenient to disperse the fake story every day, but you were caught by the hand and you must answer,» Maria Zakharova said.
