The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova reported on the launch of a clinical trial of the Russian vaccine against the Ebola virus in Guinea. She said this during the briefing.
«In the Republic of Guinea, post-registration clinical trials of the Russian vaccine against the Ebola virus «Gum Evak-Kombi» began,» she said shortly.
According to the foreign ministry, the vaccine will be tested on 2,000 volunteers. It is noteworthy that domestic scientists were among the first to respond to calls for help from the leadership of Guinea. In August 2014, Russian specialists began to collect analyzes and samples. And already in January of last year the head of the Ministry of Health Veronika Skvortsova announced the creation of a vaccine. The medicine produces a long and persistent immunity. There are no side effects. The Russian vaccine is the only means to combat the virus, which has been duly registered.
