The press service of Rosavtodor reported on the beginning of the construction of railway spans of the Crimean bridge in the Kerch Strait. It was decided to start the construction of a section between the island of Tuzla and the channel of the Kerch-Enikalsky canal. At the end of the installation, a bridge over 2 km long will be formed, connected to the arch.
The method of installation — the longitudinal slide — has already been used. From the factory blocks delivered to the island of Tuzla, assemblies are assembled, which in turn are pushed along the spetsustroistem to the ready support jacks.
A similar method over the water area was created by the road liner of the Crimean bridge.
At the same time, two branches of the oncoming traffic are pulled over the sea. A total of 30 spans will be collected in this area. Such data was sounded by Dmitry Petukhov, deputy general director for production at the construction site of the Crimean bridge.
«Each subsequent support is about half a meter higher than the previous one. The railway bridge «grows»: from 5 m height on the island of Tuzla to 17 m in the sea section, and further — 35 meters above the channel of the Kerch-Enikalsky canal. The gradual increase in height is connected with the safety of transportation of passengers,» explained the head of the technical service of the company» SGM-Most» Yuri Beskov.
This year, the creation of overflights of the railway track will be developed in all sea areas.
As at the end of January 2018, more than 180 of 307 railway supports are ready. On both banks along with the bridge, a railway infrastructure is being created. Railway communication of the mainland Russia with the peninsula will open in 2019, and the road should be launched in December 2018.
