The investigation committee said the impossibility of opening doping samples of Russians in Sochi. The investigation denied the allegations of the former acting president, director of «Anti-Doping Center» Grigory Rodchenkov on the existence of a certain state doping program in the Russian Federation to win the maximum number of medals by athletes. He also claimed about the alleged opening of the bottles «Bereg Kit» at the Sochi Olympics with doping tests of Russian athletes and the substitution of positive biosample for them in the negative.
Domestic experts conducted experiments, according to which an unequivocal conclusion was made about the impossibility of opening, including by the methods described by Canadian professor Richard McClaren and university staff, turned by more than 60 degrees towards closing the lid of the bottle.
Investigators also reported that Rodchenkov distributed drugs to athletes and coaches whose authentic properties they were not aware of.
They were subsequently established as doping. In addition, the UK believe that the former head of the Anti-Doping Center destroyed the doping tests of athletes and accused Russia of implementing some kind of doping program.
The department stressed that accusations from Rodchenkov continue to arrive, despite the fact that his first high-profile declarations passed 1.5 years. It is noted that WADA received proposals from the Russian side on cooperation, but no real steps were taken by the agency.
The investigation received evidence of the vulnerability of the laboratory database of the information system of the Moscow Anti-Doping Center (the so-called LIMS), which is allegedly available to WADA. The SK has data confirming work in it through the remote access of Rodchenkov, as well as his former employees-Timofey Sobolevsky and Oleg Migachev-during and after their departure to the United States.
