Residents of 36 countries want to see investor US and 6 — Russia
China and Great Britain have wedged between the political giants

The economy of any of the world powers in today’s realities can not exist autonomously. Investments connect cities and countries, creating international business alliances. The Association of Independent Research Agencies Gallup International interviewed respondents in almost all corners of the world. Specialists were interested what countries people would call as their preferred partner for the construction of public infrastructure facilities in their country.

Leading position is occupied by the US. 36 countries expect funding from it, 9 states, including Russia from China. 6 powers look to the Russia to assist them. Great Britain counts three countries, France — two, India — one.

It will not be a secret that NATO partners are interested in cooperation with the States: Canada, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Fiji, Romania, France, Spain, Great Britain, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic. However, the percentage of those who voted for such economic cooperation in these countries is much lower than, for example, in Kosovo (83%), Vietnam (68%), Albania (61%), Panama (58%), Philippines (52%), Brazil ( 51%). In the list, of course, there is Ukraine (34%).

Armenia (56%), Serbia (46%), Mongolia (44%), Greece (37%), Bulgaria (33%), Latvia (21%) have expressed their preference for Russia.

China as a potential investor is chosen predominantly by African countries: Congo (60%), Nigeria (48%), Cote d’Ivoire (43%), Ghana (37%), and neighbors — Pakistan (77%), Bangladesh (45% %), Thailand (42%), Hong Kong (34%) and Russia (45%).

British investments are potentially interesting to Americans (33%), as well as Swedes and Danes (29% each). China (35%) and Belgium (26%) would prefer to accept economic aid from France, and Afghanistan (30%) — from India.

10 states could not be defined with the only preferred investor. Among them, for example, Israel. He could not choose between the US and China and focused on the interaction with both countries. Similarly, the inhabitants of Paraguay did as well.

Votes were divided between Britain and the United States, among Finland, Norway, and Estonia. They almost equally prefer dollars and pounds.

Residents of Lebanon were not able to voice the leader in the issue of economic partnership. Their choice are France (23%), the United States (20%) and China (18%). In Slovenia, the largest number of votes from the Chinese side and the Russian Federation (18% each), the United States (17%).

Turkey has a similar situation. Ankara outlined its economic preferences almost in equal shares between Russia (20%), the United States (19%) and China (18%). In Iran, preferences were divided between the United States (17%) and Russia (15%).

«Once again, the fact of development of two powerful world centers or poles is confirmed. On the one hand, countries around Europe and America sympathize with their Anglo-Saxon principles. In another camp, developing powers and economies — Russia and some Slavic peoples, China and neighboring countries and regions — join together. And such polarization, in any case, for economy and investment, is rather a blessing, because gives rise to competition. And where the competition is, there is development, «said the president of the research holding Romir and the vice president of Gallup International Andrey Milekhin.

Let’s remind, a global survey was conducted at the end of last year. It covered 66,000 people in 67 countries.
