According to the survey results, 42% of Russians assessed today’s time as good for the birth of children compared to 2008 — 25%. This opinion prevails among the older generation — from 45 years. Among the youth, 27% of respondents agree with this. Against the opinion of 17%, the press service of VCIOM reported.
The most problematic topic is children’s benefits — this was noted by 24% of respondents. Another 21% of respondents mentioned the lack of educational institutions, 15% — high prices and a low standard of living, and 14% are dissatisfied with medicine.
As for the financial situation after the appearance of a child in the family, 35% of Russians noted a worsening financial situation, while 43% said that nothing has changed.
On 21-22 November, Russian Public Opinion Resear (VCIOM) interviewed 1200 people in a study on Mother’s Day using a telephone interview.
