More than two thousand volunteers will be on duty at railway stations on the days of the World Cup. Their main tasks will be to help with the boarding and disembarkation of passengers, assistance to low-mobility citizens, assistance at railway stations.
As the press service of the Russian Railways reports, more than 1 thousand volunteers will be employed at the railway stations in Moscow, where the main passenger flow of fans will be concentrated.
We note that all city volunteers will be trained. The training will include an international protocol, a volunteer code, case studies of past international sports competitions. The final stage in the training will become introduction to the railway infrastructure and its employees.
Most volunteers helped on the infrastructure of the station complexes last year. This took place within the framework of the FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
Let’s remind, the Football World Cup 2018 in Russia will be held from June 14 to July 15.
