Vladimir Putin signed a law on media-inoagents on 25 November. The document was a response to the oppression of Russian media in the United States, namely the requirement for the television channel RT America and the partner company Sputnik — Reston Translator to register as a foreign agent.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Moscow can lift restrictions if Washington does the same.
