During the World Football Championship in Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will monitor the work of taxis, including on the security of the guests of the country. This was announced on Monday, March 26, by the head of the department Igor Artemyev.
He noted that FAS is a member of the organizing committee for holding the World Cup and the work of taxi parks will be monitored in connection with this.
«These barriers are now temporarily occur, they are connected with the fight against terrorism, the security of our guests and citizens — they are temporary, firstly, and secondly, we track, we will see that there wouldn’t some kind of insulting tariffs for guests,» Artemyev said.
Accreditation of a taxi for work at the World Cup on football started on 1 February, 2018. Among the conditions for obtaining accreditation is the absence of unpaid fines, cars should not be older than four years, and the car body is painted in certain colors. In addition, the taxi should be equipped with an identification light, a color scheme, a yellow state registration plate, information about the driver and tariffs in the cabin, and also have equipment for transferring the location data to the online mode.
The FIFA 2018 World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
