49% of Russians are sure that measures of demographic support are not enough. Such data of the poll is published today by VСIOM.
It is noted that citizens are sufficiently informed about such initiatives as the extension of the maternal hospital, monthly payments at the birth of the first child, mortgage for young families with two or three children. Most of the inhabitants of our country know about these programs. 87% note the importance of such support from the state. 38% are convinced that these measures can increase population growth.
63% of the citizens believe that increasing the birth rate in the country can improve the welfare of families. 54% say that the government’s actions in this direction are insufficient. Over the past decade there has been an increase in the number of respondents who would like to have three — up to 28%. The majority (79%), who already have children, are not ready for the birth of another child.
