Today a press conference on the results of the survey, which will be included in the federal report on the situation of the youth of Russia, was held. During the event the Associate Professor of Advertising and Public Relations of the The State University of Management presented the results revealed in the survey.
According to the data presented, young people in the Russian Federation are interested in political events mostly from time to time.
«Every third young man said that he is not interested in politics at all (30.7%), so we can say that most of the youth is apolitical. Every sixth person pointed out that he was following closely the political events in Russia and abroad. Every tenth — 12% — noted that he participated in political rallies in the last six months, 4% of them are permanent participants in political rallies», Alexander Timokhovich reported.
Also in the reports data on how many young people between the ages of 16 and 24 would like to be related to a political party is presented.
Thus, 36.1% of respondents do not want to become a member of a political party, 2.4% are already members of a political party, 22.2% would like to join the party.
The operator of the report, which is submitted annually to the Government of the Russian Federation by the Ministry of Education of Science and Rosmolodezh, is the State University of Management. In 2017, the topic of the value of the younger generation was chosen as the object of study.
The survey was conducted in May this year among the citizens of the Russian Federation aged 16 to 24 years.
